The Sacramento Region Business Association is not-for-profit business association which advances regional economic growth through pro-business public policy advocacy. The organization is led by a Board of Directors of thirty-five local business executives. Region Business serves as the broad-based representative of the business community and the association manager for several vertically aligned trade associations – Region Builders, Region Restaurants, Region Technology, and Region Finance.

These trade associations affiliated with Region Business are overseen by independent Boards of Directors comprised of the top leaders in their respective industries. As independent, self-governing trade associations, these trade association directs its own public policy advocacy efforts, create their own political action committees, adopt their own PAC bylaws, manage their own finances, elect their own leadership, and set their own elective agenda. However, each association shares staff resources in order to keep costs low and prioritize dollars to public policy advocacy results.

It’s a unique model, but we believe that unity doesn’t mean unanimity and we work hard to build a culture where every industry exercises its independent voice. We do this while working together as a coalition under Region Business to advocate as the broad-based voice of business.
